en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian uranium exploration company URZ3 Energy (TSX-V:URZ) announced the acquisition of additional mineral claims in Wyoming, expanding its uranium exploration portfolio in the Powder River Basin by approximately 4,411 hectares.

The company secured approximately 777 hectares through three Wyoming mineral leases and staked 437 unpatented mining claims covering approximately 3,642 hectares.

Part of the newly acquired assets are adjacent to URZ3 Energy's existing Dry Fork project, while the remainder represents standalone exploration opportunities. The company stated that this expansion strengthens its footprint in the in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium district. The Powder River Basin is also home to the Nichols Ranch ISR uranium mine, owned and operated by Energy Fuels (NYSEAMERICAN:UUUU).

Darcy Higgs, Interim CEO of URZ3 Energy, stated that these acquisitions significantly strengthen the company's exploration portfolio. Higgs noted that by expanding around the existing Dry Fork project and entering other prospective areas in the Powder River Basin, the company has assembled a substantial land position offering multiple opportunities for uranium discovery. He believes this expanded portfolio provides a solid foundation for systematic exploration and long-term value creation.

For the remainder of the year, URZ3 Energy plans to complete geological compilation across the new lands, target generation, permitting reviews, and field assessments, with a focus on sandstone-hosted mineralization amenable to ISR extraction. The company's core business is the acquisition and exploration of uranium assets in North America.
