en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 22 local time, the 15th International Trade Fair for Transport Technology (hereinafter referred to as InnoTrans 2026) opened at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Under the theme of "Co-building Diverse Value Creation Capabilities for Future Mobility," CRRC unveiled three real vehicles on site and showcased a range of technological achievements and full-chain system solutions, offering diverse options for the green and digital-intelligent development of global rail transit.

CRRC Chairman Sun Yongcai, Executive Director Wang An, Vice President Liu Ke'an, Chief Scientist Wang Jun, and President Assistant Li Dingnan attended the opening ceremony and related activities.

Three Benchmark Real Vehicles Debut

On the opening day, at CRRC's outdoor exhibition area, cultural performances with Chinese characteristics attracted many visitors to stop and watch, creating a lively atmosphere. Subsequently, CRRC held unveiling ceremonies for three real vehicles: the VELLINK digital-intelligent integrated metro train, the VELFORCE 2000 kW hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive, and the MAGIX intelligent flatcar. All three products are built on the technological foundation of "green and intelligent," fully demonstrating CRRC's equipment innovation strength across multiple scenarios and the full spectrum.

Zhai Qian, Minister-Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Germany, Zhao Wenfang, Deputy Administrator of the National Railway Administration of China, Li Yingjiu, Vice General Manager of China State Railway Group, Sun Yongcai, Chairman of CRRC, Liu Zhicheng, Head of the China Association of Metros and Chairman of Guangzhou Metro Group, Frank Spörl, Global Senior Vice President of Rail Transit at TÜV Rheinland, and H.E. Abdul Muhsen Kalbat, CEO of the Rail Transit Agency of the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, jointly unveiled the real vehicles.

Tian Hongqi, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Dayong, Deputy Chief Engineer of China State Railway Group, Melvyn Thong, Director-General of Vehicle Licensing at LTA, Wang An, Executive Director of CRRC, Liu Ke'an, Vice President of CRRC, Yi Zhenguo, Resident Head of the China Association of Metros, as well as customer representatives, industry guests, and relevant personnel from CRRC headquarters and its subsidiaries attended the unveiling ceremony.

In his speech, Sun Yongcai stated that CRRC is willing to be a trustworthy long-term partner and work with all parties to contribute to a sustainable, more efficient, and smarter mobility future.

In his speech, Frank Spörl stated that the future of rail transit requires the integration of vehicles, energy, and digital technologies, which relies on collaboration across the entire industry chain to jointly promote the application of innovative achievements.

In his speech, H.E. Abdul Muhsen Kalbat stated that the Rail Transit Agency of the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority welcomes the efforts of all parties to build a safer, more reliable, and more efficient travel system.

In his speech, Zhai Qian stated that China is willing to work with industry peers from all countries, upholding the principles of openness, inclusiveness, equality, and mutual benefit, to jointly maintain a fair competitive market environment, deepen collaborative cooperation in industrial and supply chains, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the global rail transit industry.

At the unveiling ceremony, CRRC officially launched the "VELLINK" urban rail vehicle brand for overseas markets, catering to global urban commuting needs. As the flagship model of this brand, the VELLINK digital-intelligent integrated metro train applies "embodied intelligence" technology for the first time, deploying multi-source sensors throughout the train to build an autonomous perception neural network capable of real-time road condition recognition, anomaly detection, and fault early warning, reducing operation and maintenance costs. Compared with traditional urban rail vehicles, through lightweight materials and deep integration of multiple systems, the train's overall weight is reduced by approximately 18%, and comprehensive energy consumption is lowered by more than 10%. The vehicle's industrial design won the international iF Design Award. Features such as panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, starlight ceilings, and rotatable seats effectively enhance the passenger travel experience. VELLINK carries not only innovative technology but also a responsibility for urban sustainable development.

The outdoor exhibition area simultaneously displayed the representative product of CRRC's "VELFORCE" new energy locomotive platform — the 2000 kW power-class hydrogen fuel cell hybrid locomotive. The locomotive adopts hydrogen fuel cell dual-stack parallel technology, with an output power of 400 kW, hydrogen refueling taking only 15 to 20 minutes, and a hydrogen utilization rate exceeding 98%. Relying on a self-developed deep learning onboard intelligent driving platform and multi-source sensor fusion perception, the locomotive possesses 360-degree panoramic environmental recognition and autonomous decision-making capabilities. Driven by the dual core of "zero emissions + intelligence," it provides a new path for green railway traction.

The MAGIX intelligent flatcar, specially developed for in-station shunting and multimodal transport scenarios, has a tare weight of only 17 tons and a payload of 73 tons. Through lightweight design, it reduces energy consumption from the source. Combining modularity, automation, green features, intelligence, and high flexibility, it transforms traditional freight equipment into a new generation of intelligent railway freight cars that are lighter, more cost-effective, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly.

Building a New Ecosystem for Future Mobility

Walking into the CRRC exhibition area, more than 40 products including high-speed EMUs, urban rail trains, freight locomotives, and low-carbon core components were brilliantly showcased. Interactive means such as immersive digital sand tables, vertical touch terminals, and naked-eye 3D screens presented the full life-cycle services and integrated solutions of rail transit in three dimensions, vividly interpreting the brand philosophy of "Connecting the World, Moving Together with You." During the exhibition, CRRC also held a series of technology release events, building an open dialogue platform for global customers and partners.

Based on global transportation industry development trends, CRRC focuses on the directions of "greenization, digital-intelligence, integration, and unification," continuously promoting the deep integration of low-carbon and zero-carbon technologies with diverse technology systems, building an intelligent product matrix covering all speed levels, supporting a cloud-edge-device collaborative technology system, and accelerating the implementation of intelligent transportation scenarios. At the same time, relying on overseas benchmark projects, CRRC delivers full-chain one-stop solutions, empowering the entire process of equipment R&D, production, and operation and maintenance with its self-developed "AIZOR" AI large model, continuously improving global transportation resource allocation and operational efficiency.

On the opening day, CRRC held multiple technology release events, presenting product technical features and practical applications, attracting many visitors to stop and listen. Multiple rounds of business negotiations were also conducted at the booth, with mainstream domestic and international media focusing on coverage, overseas bloggers exploring the exhibition on site, and the company's video channel broadcasting globally simultaneously. CRRC became the focus of the first day of the Berlin exhibition.
