China's Irritech Partners with Egypt's DALTEX to Expand into North Africa's Large-Scale Irrigation Market

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 22, Egyptian agricultural enterprise DALTEX signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Irritech, a major Chinese irrigation system company. Under the agreement, DALTEX will become Irritech's exclusive sales partner in Egypt, Algeria, and Libya, responsible for promoting Irritech's center pivot irrigation, lateral move irrigation, and related intelligent solutions, and providing project design, equipment installation, commissioning, and after-sales service. This cooperation targets medium-to-large farms and large-scale agricultural development projects.

Irritech's core equipment includes center pivot irrigation systems and linear lateral move irrigation systems, accompanied by intelligent control solutions that can be adjusted according to project scale and operating conditions. These systems can be used for large-scale irrigation of farmland ranging from hundreds to thousands of hectares, improving the continuous operation capability of large-area farmland irrigation through centralized water supply, automated travel, and zone control.

DALTEX will undertake localized project implementation in the three-country market. The company has previously completed irrigation system design for over 600,000 feddans of farmland and installed more than 5,000 center pivot irrigation units, serving over 100 clients. Its existing service scope includes land assessment, hydraulic design, equipment installation, system commissioning, operator training, spare parts supply, and annual maintenance, covering the complete cycle of irrigation projects from preliminary design to later-stage operation and maintenance.

This cooperation directly combines Irritech's equipment supply with DALTEX's engineering implementation capabilities in North Africa. Irritech is responsible for providing center pivot, linear irrigation equipment, and intelligent control technology, while DALTEX is responsible for local farm condition assessment, hydraulic system design, installation and construction, commissioning, and subsequent maintenance. At this stage, the two parties have not disclosed the agreement amount, the scale of the first batch of projects, the quantity of equipment procurement, or specific delivery timelines.

Irritech's irrigation equipment has entered markets in more than 40 countries and can be configured with center pivot or linear irrigation systems according to different plot shapes, water supply conditions, and agricultural planting scales. After obtaining exclusive sales rights in Egypt, Algeria, and Libya, DALTEX's subsequent project implementation will directly cover large-scale agricultural development, desert agriculture, and large-scale farm irrigation scenarios in North Africa.
