The contract covers 14 wells and includes options for additional well operations, with the project scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2027. Expro did not disclose the client's name or the specific contract value, stating only that the contract is worth a multi-million-dollar figure.

Under the scope of the contract, Expro will provide three categories of services: wellbore construction, well flow management, and subsea wellhead access, with the related work spanning intervention and workover operations. The company adopts an integrated multi-product line model, combining wellbore construction, testing, and subsea access work that would otherwise be handled by different specialized teams into a unified service package to support the continuous execution of the 14 wells. The contract also reserves additional well operation capacity for the operator.

Expro had already disclosed the project in its second-quarter 2026 results, when it confirmed that the company had been awarded a 14-well multi-product line contract offshore eastern Canada and expected it to commence in the first half of 2027. This September announcement further locks the execution window to the first quarter of 2027, while clarifying that the project is located offshore Newfoundland and is part of an existing offshore asset life extension program.

Existing oil and gas production offshore Newfoundland and Labrador mainly comes from mature offshore fields.
