U.S. Companies Jointly Launch 20-Meter-Class 3D Perception Platform
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Leopard Imaging and Lumotive of the United States have jointly launched the Sirius Max long-range software-defined 3D perception platform, model LI-AR0234-AF0130-TX10-GMSL2-140H, targeting robotics, industrial automation, autonomous equipment, automotive monitoring, and edge AI systems. The platform integrates RGB imaging, indirect time-of-flight (iToF) depth sensing, embedded synchronized processing, and programmable beam control into a GMSL2 camera module, enabling depth perception beyond 20 meters in both indoor and outdoor environments, with a depth resolution of 1MP.

Sirius Max uses the onsemi AF0130 depth sensor and integrates the Lumotive TX10 programmable beam control emitter. The system leverages Light Control Metasurface (LCM) technology to control illumination direction and scanning area. Compared with conventional flood-illumination ToF solutions, it can adjust the illumination area according to the task and set the region of interest through software. The entire perception system adopts an all-solid-state architecture with no mechanical scanning components.
At the data transmission level, Sirius Max can simultaneously transmit RGB video, depth data, and control signals over a single coaxial cable, and uses a low-latency GMSL2 interface to connect with embedded computing and edge AI platforms. Leopard Imaging has integrated synchronized imaging, depth data processing, and beam control into the same module, enabling a single device to cover tasks such as SLAM localization and mapping, cliff detection, collision avoidance, visual inspection, object handling, and autonomous navigation.
This product is a further expansion based on Leopard Imaging's existing RGB+iToF perception platform. The company's previously launched Sirius Plus already integrated the onsemi AF0130 iToF sensor with an RGB global shutter image sensor into a GMSL2 platform for synchronized output of RGB and depth information; Sirius Max now adds Lumotive's programmable beam control technology and extends the perception range to beyond 20 meters.
Lumotive has previously applied LCM technology to multiple types of solid-state LiDAR systems. In April 2026, the company implemented a 180° all-solid-state LiDAR platform based on the LM10 LCM and the Adaps Photonics ADS6311 dTOF sensor, achieving an operating frame rate of 30 FPS. Sirius Max now adopts the TX10 beam control emitter and integrates it with an iToF depth sensor and RGB imaging module to form a long-range RGB-D perception module for embedded robotics and industrial vision devices.
