en.Wedoany.com Reported - GreenGo's Cantone wind power project has been approved, driving the company's continued expansion of its proprietary project portfolio in the wind power sector. A few months earlier, the 12 MW La Motta project, also developed in the Foggia area, had already received authorization. With these two projects secured, GreenGo's total authorized wind farm capacity under Single Authorisation in the Foggia area has risen to 26 MW.

The two consecutive authorizations continue GreenGo's development work in Puglia and demonstrate the growth of its multi-technology project pipeline. The company is progressively converting its pipeline into authorized capacity and operational plants, advancing toward a fully integrated Independent Power Producer model.

Puglia remains a key region in this development path. GreenGo has its industrial and entrepreneurial roots in the region, where wind power development is being pursued alongside photovoltaics, agrivoltaics, and energy storage systems. Within the portfolio, the Foggia area has the highest concentration of projects and is the focus of the group's utility-scale wind power growth.

Alberto Piva, GreenGo's Director of Business Development and M&A, stated that Cantone's authorization came just a few months after La Motta's approval, consolidating the company's presence in Puglia's wind power sector and continuing its work in this strategic region. With Cantone approved, the number of projects authorized by the company in 2026 across Marche, Puglia, and Calabria has risen to five: two solar plants, one agrivoltaic project, and two wind farms. Securing authorizations for two wind farms in the same region within a few months demonstrates the company's range of capabilities. The company will continue to advance these projects to ensure the continued growth of its portfolio.

With Cantone's approval, GreenGo's industrial footprint in Puglia has been strengthened, bringing its national RTB (Ready-to-Build) scale to over 733 MW of renewable energy, covering wind power, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), solar, and agrivoltaic projects. The Foggia area has 245 MW under development, remaining the most concentrated area within the Puglia portfolio, due to the dense concentration of wind power projects in one of the windiest regions in Southern Europe.

This portfolio accounts for 18% of the company's proprietary project pipeline and confirms Puglia's role as a key region in GreenGo's growth. Nationwide, the company has a project pipeline of over 2 GW, distributed across 12 regions of Italy, of which approximately 80% are proprietary projects.
