Rackla Metals of Canada Intersects 17.95 m at 2.28% WO₃ at the Lentung Tungsten Project
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 13, Canadian mineral exploration company Rackla Metals announced assay results from the first four modern drill holes at its Lentung tungsten project in Northwest Territories, confirming high-grade tungsten mineralization in the Central Zone. Among them, drill hole DDH26L-002 intersected 17.95 m of mineralization from a depth of 32 m, averaging 2.28% tungsten trioxide (WO₃); drill hole DDH26L-001 intersected 20.35 m of mineralization from a depth of 11 m, averaging 1.72% tungsten trioxide. To date, approximately 600 m of strike length has been drill-tested in the Central Zone.

All four drill holes reported in this release intersected tungsten mineralization, along with varying copper contents. Among them, DDH26L-003 intersected 17.90 m of mineralization grading 1.67% tungsten trioxide and 0.06% copper; DDH26L-004 intersected 20.50 m of mineralization grading 0.90% tungsten trioxide and 0.02% copper. The mineralized interval lengths reported for all four drill holes are measured along the drill hole and do not represent true thickness of the mineralized body.
Drilling was focused on the Western Skarn mineralized body in the Central Zone. DDH26L-001 and DDH26L-002 were drilled from the same drill pad, testing the up-dip and down-dip extensions of the mineralized body, respectively. DDH26L-003 and DDH26L-004 are located on another section approximately 20 m west of the first two drill holes. Drilling data indicate that some mineralized intervals extend beyond the limits defined by the 0.6% tungsten trioxide cut-off grade used in Union Carbide's historical exploration in 1982.
Rackla Metals launched the first new drilling at the Lentung project since 1982 in 2026, originally planning approximately 10,000 m of drilling, including 4,000 m of diamond drilling and 6,000 m of reverse circulation drilling. Five reverse circulation drill holes were completed in this program, but due to significant groundwater inflow affecting sample quality and the reliability of geological data, the company suspended reverse circulation drilling and demobilized the equipment, while diamond drilling continued for verification of the mineralized zone.
The Lentung project is located in southwestern Northwest Territories, approximately 250 km from Watson Lake in the Yukon. Union Carbide completed approximately 26,900 m of drilling between 1977 and 1982, identifying 15 tungsten-bearing mineralized zones over a 15 km strike length. Rackla Metals has also renumbered, logged, and sampled historically preserved drill core, with some core to be re-assayed.
According to Rackla Metals' exploration schedule, follow-up assay results from the 2026 drill holes and historical core re-checks are expected to be received progressively over the next two to three months. The company plans to use the data to prepare a new mineral resource estimate and to define drill targets for 2027 exploration work aimed at expanding the known mineralized extent.
