en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 14, Canadian mining company Safi Silver announced the first batch of assay results from the maiden drilling program at its Addana silver project in Morocco. Hole SW2026-07 in the Addana SW exploration area returned a 1-meter mineralized interval from 147 to 148 meters depth averaging 35.52 g/t silver, with 472 g/t lead and 33 g/t antimony over the same interval. Another hole, SW2026-02, returned preliminary assay results of 1 meter at 657 g/t silver from 6 to 7 meters depth, but the high-grade sample came from fault-brecciated core and awaits re-assay confirmation.

The assay results released this time cover three holes, SW2026-01, SW2026-02 and SW2026-07, with depths of 180.1 meters, 180 meters and 180 meters respectively. SW2026-07 also returned silver grades of 9.15 g/t, 8.91 g/t, 8.41 g/t and 7.63 g/t from four other separate 1-meter sample intervals. Apart from the high-grade sample awaiting re-assay, the highest silver grades for SW2026-01 and SW2026-02 were 5 g/t and 11 g/t respectively. A total of 493 core samples were collected from the three holes, of which 112 samples returned silver grades of 1 g/t or above.

The holes passed through predominantly sandstone-hosted rocks and intersected approximately 50 meters of graphitic schist. The main silver mineralized interval in SW2026-07 is hosted in quartzite below the schist, and drilling also intersected centimeter- to decimeter-scale quartz-iron oxide veins, consistent with vein types previously documented in the Jbel Addana area. The company has submitted 52 core samples for fire assay and arranged re-assay of the high-grade sample from SW2026-02. All reported mineralized interval lengths are core lengths; true thickness of mineralization has not yet been determined.

Four holes have been completed to date in the Addana SW area, with SW2026-05 currently being drilled and approximately 770 meters of drilling completed. The company resumed drilling in late September after a summer suspension, and two rigs are currently operating at the Addana SW and Antenna Hill targets. Antenna Hill is approximately 40 kilometers from the southwest exploration area where the assay results were obtained, and landslide debris has been cleared on site; subsequent holes will test the extension of mapped veins in sandstone and quartzite.

The core samples were prepared and analyzed for elements by AFRILAB, an independent laboratory in Marrakech, Morocco, using four-acid digestion and inductively coupled plasma analysis covering 39 elements. Quality control included blanks, certified reference materials and duplicates, accounting for approximately 15% of total samples submitted. The company plans to continue releasing assay results from remaining holes, re-assays and gold analysis results.
