en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ardagh Metal Packaging confirmed in its third-quarter operating results announcement that it will add one beverage can production line at each of its existing plants in the UK and Spain, expanding its metal beverage packaging manufacturing capacity in the European market. The company has decided to accelerate and expand its previously established European investment plan to meet the packaging procurement needs of local beverage producers.

In the third quarter of 2026, Ardagh Metal Packaging's global beverage can shipments increased by 2% year on year, with European shipments up 6% and Americas shipments down 1%. Within the Americas, North American shipments declined by 1% and Brazil by 5%, the latter mainly affected by changes in customer mix and contract adjustments.

The European business generated revenue of USD 693 million in the third quarter, up 11% year on year; adjusted EBITDA reached USD 91 million, up 11% year on year. The company attributed the European profit growth to improved raw material cost recovery and higher beverage can shipments.

The Group's third-quarter revenue reached USD 1.694 billion, up 19% year on year; adjusted EBITDA was USD 213 million, up 2% year on year, exceeding the previous guidance of USD 200 million to USD 210 million. The company raised its full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA forecast to USD 785 million to USD 795 million.

The two new production lines will be built using existing manufacturing facilities in the UK and Spain. The company is advancing its European capacity investment plan, with specific line configurations, construction schedules and commissioning arrangements to be determined later.
