Holmen of Sweden Launches 430–710 gsm High-Thickness Packaging Board

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 27, Swedish paper group Holmen launched Incada Duo high-thickness composite folding board. The new product has a basis weight range of 430–710 gsm. Base board is produced at its Workington mill in the UK, with lamination completed in the UK. The product features a multi-layer fiber composite structure and targets the premium beverage, cosmetics, confectionery and gift packaging markets.

Incada Duo uses a multi-layer virgin fiber composite process, enhancing board thickness and stiffness through the combination of fiber layers. The outer layer uses white chemical sulfate pulp, and the surface is fully coated to meet high-quality graphic printing and packaging appearance requirements.

Holmen confirms that all raw materials used in the Incada series are approved for food-contact applications. Incada Duo targets spirits, cosmetics, confectionery gift boxes and other premium consumer goods packaging, focusing on meeting material requirements for higher stiffness, greater thickness and fine printing.

The Workington mill in the UK manufactures base board for the Incada series, using traceable virgin fiber raw materials. The mill has been powered by non-fossil bioenergy since 2013. Incada Duo is laminated in the UK and supplied to UK packaging converters through the local production and supply system.
