Spain's Transnatur Replaces Its Brittany Transport Partner
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 1, the Spanish freight group Transnatur replaced its transport partner in the Brittany region of France. From that date, LE ROY Logistique, headquartered in Rennes and Nantes, officially succeeded the previous partner as Transnatur's new representative in Brittany.

The partner change is not an isolated event in Transnatur's operating model. The group uses a "partner network" model: it operates through its own branches in mainland Spain, while outside Spain it covers markets through representation agreements with local freight companies, with local partners responsible for cargo solicitation, customs clearance and regional distribution, and Transnatur responsible for cross-border trunk lines and network connection on the Spanish side. The replacement of the Brittany node is essentially a reset of one regional representative within this network, rather than the establishment of a new branch or an asset acquisition.
Along with the partner change, the transport product is being adjusted accordingly. Transnatur plans to launch a direct round-trip service to Nantes, operating twice a week. Nantes is located at the southern edge of Brittany and is one of the distribution nodes for road freight in western France, with several trunk routes to Spain passing through it or heading south via Paris. Direct services mean that import and export cargo flows in Brittany no longer need secondary transshipment at hubs such as Paris or Le Mans, reducing reloading and waiting time in the road transport segment—this is the most direct operational gain of this change at the transport and logistics level.
The capability structure of the new partner determines how much cargo flow this change can handle. LE ROY Logistique was founded in 1947, initially operating under the name "Transport Leroy," and changed to its current name in 1999. It has a presence in multiple locations across France, currently manages approximately 580,000 square meters of warehouse space, employs more than 1,000 people, and had revenue of 268 million euros in 2025. Its headquarters are located in both Rennes and Nantes, consistent with the direct Nantes direction that Transnatur is launching. For Transnatur, the new Brittany node is embedded in LE ROY's existing domestic French transport network and warehousing resources rather than being built from scratch; LE ROY, by representing Transnatur, gains access to Spain–France cross-border trunk lines. The complementarity of the two parties is concentrated in the division of labor between "regional distribution" and "cross-border trunk lines."
The region is an important agri-food production area in France, with pork, dairy products and processed seafood having export demand for the Spanish market; at the same time, Brittany's automotive, electronics and shipbuilding industries need imported components from Spain and transshipped through Spain. Road transport accounts for the main share of this cargo flow, and Nantes, as a regional distribution point, is suitable as the loading and distribution node for the twice-weekly direct service.
