Italy's GreenGo Secures Approval for 28.5 MW Agrivoltaic Project

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 5, the Regional Government of Puglia, Italy, adopted Administrative Decision No. 272, approving the Zanotti agrivoltaic project developed by Orange, a project company under GreenGo, with an approved installed capacity of 28.5 MWp, including supporting infrastructure. The project is located in the Masseria Zanotti area of San Severo, Foggia Province. GreenGo announced this approval progress on November 3.

The Zanotti project uses bifacial photovoltaic modules and single-axis solar trackers. The photovoltaic facilities will be co-located with olive grove cultivation areas, and cultivation activities are planned to continue throughout the entire operational period of the plant, with the olives used to produce extra virgin olive oil. The approved plan also includes vegetation buffer strips along the project boundary, using native local plants for landscape mitigation works.

The project has secured a support price of EUR 61 per MWh through the FER X transitional auction organized by the Italian energy services management agency. GreenGo plans to include Zanotti in the next round of EUR 210 million project financing, which adopts a senior debt structure and covers two project portfolios: one comprising new wind and photovoltaic projects totaling 120 MW, and the other comprising three large-scale battery energy storage facilities with a combined power of 220 MW and a storage capacity of 880 MWh.

Zanotti is the sixth renewable energy project GreenGo has obtained permits for since the beginning of 2026. Including Musone, Vibinum, Canalicchi, La Motta and Cantone, the company's total approved project scale for the year has reached 87.1 MW, distributed across three regions: Marche, Puglia and Calabria. Among them, the Zanotti, La Motta, Cantone and Vibinum projects in Foggia Province have a combined installed capacity of approximately 64 MW.

With the approval of the Zanotti project, GreenGo's total approved wind, photovoltaic, agrivoltaic and energy storage project scale in Italy exceeds 760 MW. The company's development pipeline across 12 Italian regions totals more than 2 GW, of which approximately 80% are self-developed projects.
