en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, US off-road autonomous technology developer Mach launched a commercial autonomous weed control solution for independent power producers and owners of large utility-scale solar assets, embedding autonomous driving capabilities directly into commercial weed control equipment through factory integration.

Vegetation management is one of the larger ongoing operations and maintenance expenditure items for ground-mounted solar plants. Weed control beneath panels and between panel rows requires repetitive, labor-intensive scheduling across large, often remote sites. As a Tier 1 supplier to original equipment manufacturers, Mach integrates its technology into existing drive-by-wire commercial platforms, eliminating the need for equipment manufacturers to develop their own robotic systems while giving solar asset owners access to dealer-supported equipment.

The technology configuration includes: a factory-integrated architecture that interfaces directly with commercial OEM drive-by-wire systems; a combination of Mach Perception, RTK-GNSS and patented RadX phased-array radar for navigation, capable of operating in dust, tall grass and sunlight glare conditions, and actively detecting and avoiding tracker posts, guy wires, inverter foundations and hanging wire harnesses; Mach Ops providing centralized fleet scheduling that enables a single remote operator to dispatch, monitor and geofence multiple machines across a nationwide portfolio; and maintenance handled through the existing nationwide dealer network for routine mechanical, blade and hydraulic work.

Mach will showcase the autonomous weed control platform at RE+ 26, taking place November 16–19, 2026, at Booth W16676, West Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center.
