en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 5, Norwegian oil and gas company Aker BP awarded a contract to OneSubsea, a joint venture under SLB, for the supply of subsea equipment for the Lyra field in the North Sea. The contract scope includes subsea production systems, subsea umbilicals, and associated technical services. The Lyra field, formerly known as Kjøttkake, is located in the northern Norwegian North Sea and is planned to adopt standardized subsea production equipment, tie back to the Gjøa production platform via the existing NOVA field infrastructure, and target first oil in 2028.

OneSubsea will be responsible for supplying the subsea production system and umbilicals for the Lyra field, as well as providing related supporting services. The project adopts a standardized subsea equipment solution. Aker BP and OneSubsea have jointly participated in the technical solution development since the early stages of field development, aligning the subsea production equipment configuration with the existing platform tie-back solution.

This equipment contract is a procurement arrangement under the Aker BP Subsea Alliance cooperation framework. OneSubsea is jointly supported by SLB, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7, and is responsible for the supply of related subsea production technologies and equipment. The Lyra project development plan spans from the field discovery in 2025 to first oil in 2028, with an implementation period of approximately three years.
