Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 2, Trendsetter Engineering Inc., based in Houston, Texas, has been awarded a contract to supply four 15K horizontal subsea tree systems, along with associated tooling and installation services, to a major operator in the Gulf of America. This agreement, announced in July 2025, marks a significant step for Trendsetter following its recent expansion into the subsea tree market.

Trendsetter said the contract represents a major milestone as it comes shortly after the company expanded into the subsea tree market.

Tony Matson, Senior Vice President of Projects at Trendsetter Engineering, stated: “Trendsetter has developed a strong working relationship across our SPS and Intervention business lines with this client. We are proud to expand that partnership to include the supply of subsea trees.” The contract enhances Trendsetter’s role as a key provider of subsea production solutions, building on its established collaboration with the client.

In early July 2025, Trendsetter acquired the Innovex subsea tree product line, incorporating both vertical and horizontal tree technologies. This acquisition has enabled the company to offer advanced 10K, 15K, and 20K subsea tree systems, strengthening its capabilities across the entire production flow-path, from subsea trees to riser systems connected to host production facilities. The company emphasized its focus on delivering tailored subsea solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring reliable oil and gas extraction.

Additionally, Trendsetter secured a contract from BW Energy in Brazil for the Golfinho boost project earlier this month. The scope includes engineering, production, and delivery of subsea structures, Trendsetter Connection Systems, Umbilical Termination Assemblies, flying leads, and specialized ROV tooling for seabed boosting systems. These developments highlight Trendsetter’s growing presence in the global subsea market.

The Gulf of America contract underscores Trendsetter’s commitment to advancing subsea technology and supporting efficient resource extraction. By integrating the newly acquired Innovex product line, the company is well-positioned to meet the evolving demands of the oil and gas industry, delivering innovative and reliable solutions for complex subsea projects.
