Frontier will utilize liquid cooling to support advanced GPU loads for AI applications, incorporating a closed-loop chiller system to minimize water use, saving billions of gallons annually. The campus aligns with Vantage’s sustainable design principles and is pursuing LEED certification to ensure resource efficiency. The company is committed to fostering community partnerships, collaborating with contractors, trade partners, local organizations, and educational institutions to create shared value in Shackelford County.
Vantage will contribute to local charities, offer annual college scholarships for Shackelford County students throughout the project’s lifespan, and prioritize local hiring with training opportunities. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said: “Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes innovation and technology. Vantage Data Centers’ will help create thousands of good-paying jobs for Texans and bring revenue to the local and state economies. Partnering with job-creating and innovative businesses like Vantage, Texas will continue to be a national and global leader in this emerging frontier.”
The Frontier campus builds on Vantage’s recent $5 billion green loan to support North American expansion, including a hyperscale campus in New Albany, Ohio. By developing advanced infrastructure in Texas, Vantage aims to establish the region as a hub for digital innovation, supporting the growing needs of AI and other high-performance computing applications.
This initiative highlights Vantage’s commitment to sustainable growth, economic development, and technological advancement, positioning Texas as a leader in the global data center industry.
