Wedoany.com Report-Dec.7, Walmart has launched ultra-fast drone delivery in partnership with Wing, beginning December 3, 2025, across six Supercenter locations in Metro Atlanta: Woodstock, Conyers, Dallas, Hiram, McDonough, and Loganville.

Metro Atlanta is welcoming speed and efficiency for neighborhood package deliveries with Walmart and Wing.

Customers can now order groceries, household essentials, over-the-counter medications, and last-minute holiday gifts for delivery by drone in as little as five minutes. Orders are placed through the Wing app, with drones flying autonomously at 60 mph and 150 feet altitude, lowering packages directly to the selected drop-off point under remote supervision.

"This launch is a critical next step in our significant expansion, turning drone delivery from novelty to norm," said Heather Rivera, Wing's Chief Business Officer. "Atlanta is a powerhouse in aviation, and we're bringing the same spirit of speed and efficiency to thousands of Walmart customers across the Metro."

The rollout marks the first major new metropolitan area in Walmart and Wing's multi-city expansion plan, which targets five additional markets and 100 more stores by 2026. Charlotte, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa are scheduled to follow.

The partnership, which began in the Dallas-Fort Worth area several years ago, has now grown to 18 stores there and completed over 75,000 deliveries nationwide, covering more than 315,000 flight miles. In DFW, thousands of drone orders are fulfilled daily, with 75% of customers using the service repeatedly within a year.

Metro Atlanta residents can verify address eligibility and join waitlists for future expansion through a dedicated page on Walmart's website.

The initiative leverages Atlanta's high population density and strong demand for rapid fulfillment, positioning drone delivery as a convenient everyday option alongside traditional shopping methods at Walmart's more than 10,750 stores worldwide.
