Leapmotor Unveils Ten-Year Development Plan, Aims for Annual Sales Exceeding 4 Million Vehicles

Wedoany.com Report-Dec.31, On December 29, Zhu Jiangming, CEO of Leapmotor, stated at the company's Hangzhou headquarters that the company plans to achieve a long-term goal of annual sales exceeding 4 million vehicles within the next decade, with a target of selling 1 million vehicles in 2026. The company will advance its global market layout through cooperation with its international partner Stellantis and plans to launch a series of premium models priced above 250,000 yuan.

According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, Leapmotor sold a total of 482,447 new energy vehicles in the domestic market in the first 11 months of 2025, nearly doubling its sales compared to the same period last year. The company also announced an equity and technology cooperation agreement with FAW Group, under which it will issue 74.8 million shares to FAW at a price of 50.03 yuan per share.

Zhu Jiangming said: « 65% of Leapmotor's components are self-developed, giving it a 10% cost advantage over its peers. » The company's best-selling C10 electric SUV starts at 142,800 yuan and continues to expand its market share in the corresponding price segment of the electric vehicle market.

Shu Coucheng, Vice President of Leapmotor's Supply Chain, revealed that the company plans to begin production in Spain in 2026, where it will source 40% of its components locally as required. Chief Financial Officer Li Tengfei stated that neither FAW nor Stellantis intends to seek control of Leapmotor, and the existing shareholding structure will support the company's long-term stable development.
