Looking back at 2025, Airbus aircraft delivery targets underwent adjustments. Due to quality issues with A320 series fuselage panels supplied by vendors, which impacted year-end delivery progress, Airbus revised its initial delivery guidance downward from approximately 820 aircraft in early December. Flight data provider Cirium had previously estimated 782 Airbus aircraft deliveries for 2025, while analysts also noted that year-end administrative procedures could push the final delivery figures higher, a view that has been confirmed by the actual outcome.

In terms of production, Airbus's focus in 2025 remained on the A220 and A320neo single-aisle aircraft programs. Production of the A330 and A350 wide-body aircraft continued to lag due to industrial constraints. Looking ahead, Airbus has an order backlog of over 12,000 aircraft for 2026, indicating strong market demand. The company also plans to increase the monthly production rate of the A320neo series aircraft to 75 units by 2027 to meet growing market needs.
