Wedoany.com Report on Feb 7th, Egypt recently signed an agreement to establish an integrated spinning and textile industrial park in the New Administrative Capital. This textile industrial park is expected to involve an investment of approximately $350 million, equivalent to about 2.537 billion Chinese yuan. The project is located in a designated industrial zone under the framework of a free zone, covering an area of about 800,000 square meters.

The construction of this textile industrial park is part of the Egyptian government's strategy to modernize the textile industry, aiming to deepen the local value chain and enhance the competitiveness of products in the international market. Egyptian officials stated that this project will help support the country's goals of reducing import dependence, increasing value-added output, and strengthening industrial exports. The New Administrative Capital was chosen as the project site due to its geographical location, port connectivity, and links to modern logistics facilities.

This textile industrial park will operate as an integrated production center, covering processes such as fiber spinning, yarn manufacturing, weaving, textile processing, finishing, and dyeing. This end-to-end production model aims to improve efficiency and product quality while reducing operational losses during the production process. The project is expected to directly create about 20,000 jobs, making it one of the significant employment-generating projects in Egypt's textile industry, while also promoting skill development and industrial workforce training.
