Wedoany.com Report on Feb 7th, Recently, the vessel "Zhonglian Yangpu" successfully berthed at Xinsha Port, carrying containers of imported recycled pulp from Thailand. This marks another significant achievement for Xinsha Port in the field of logistics services for the import and export of renewable resources, injecting new momentum into the regional circular economy.

It is reported that the "Zhonglian Yangpu" sailed from Thailand, and the recycled pulp it carried, as an environmentally friendly papermaking raw material, can effectively reduce wood consumption and environmental pollution. This aligns with the national "dual carbon" strategy and the requirements for circular economy development. This batch of goods will be used to produce products such as kraft paper, linerboard, and corrugated paper, helping enterprises build a circular industrial chain of "imported recycled raw materials—green production—end products."

To ensure the efficient berthing and swift customs clearance of the "Zhonglian Yangpu," Xinsha Company made advance arrangements and precise scheduling, refreshing operational efficiency through full-process refined management. They established a dedicated communication mechanism with the customer in advance, accurately locked in the vessel's berthing plan, verified cargo details item by item, and optimized berth arrangements and loading/unloading processes based on the characteristics of the recycled pulp.

After the vessel berthed, the operational personnel immediately began double lashing removal and reinforcement operations, completing preliminary preparations in just 45 minutes. To maximize efficiency, the on-site supervisor pre-assessed the working conditions and adopted a simultaneous operation mode using three quay cranes, successfully completing the entire ship's unloading task in 4.5 hours. The average unloading rate for this operation was 136 TEU per hour, representing a 127% increase compared to the conventional rate of 60 TEU per hour, setting a new record for unloading efficiency for similar cargo.
