VSB France, part of the VSB Group, recently commissioned its first wind farm project in France's Puy-de-Dôme department – the Tortebesse Wind Farm. The project consists of 15 Vestas V110 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 32.4 MW. It is expected to generate 78 GWh of electricity annually, meeting the power needs of approximately 31,000 people while reducing CO₂ emissions by about 23,000 tons.

Dr. Felix Grolman, CEO of VSB Group, stated, "Projects like the Tortebesse Wind Farm demonstrate the effective combination of sustainable development, regional value creation, and strategic partnerships. The integration of local expertise and international energy technology is a key factor in driving Europe's energy transition." Maël Lagarde, Managing Director of VSB France, added, "This is our first wind farm in the Puy-de-Dôme department and a significant milestone for the company. Through these 15 wind turbines, we are making a tangible contribution to the regional energy transition, showcasing the potential of French onshore wind power for sustainable electricity generation."

The construction of the wind farm took 15 months, during which VSB France emphasized regional value creation and worked closely with local partners. The project was fully financed by the Corporate and Institutional Banking division of Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC). VSB France was responsible not only for project development but also for construction management and the technical and administrative operation of the wind farm.

As part of TotalEnergies' Integrated Power business, VSB contributes significantly to expanding the group's renewable energy generation capacity. The group aims to achieve net renewable electricity generation exceeding 100 TWh per year by 2030, supporting TotalEnergies' strategy to provide more climate-friendly, reliable, and affordable energy.

Headquartered in Dresden, the VSB Group is one of Europe's leading vertically integrated renewable energy developers and has been part of TotalEnergies since 2025. Its business covers the development of onshore wind and photovoltaic power plant projects, battery storage solutions, operations management, and operating its own assets as an independent power producer. VSB operates in six European countries with a project pipeline exceeding 20 GW and has developed over 750 wind and solar power plants since 1996. The group also provides services for a portfolio of over 3 GW, remains active in freight electric mobility, and employs over 500 people across the group and its affiliated companies.
