Product Overview:
This instrument adopts the ultraviolet fluorescence method. The basic working principle is: the zinc lamp emits ultraviolet light, which is filtered into monochromatic light (wavelength 214nm) and focused into the SO₂ reaction chamber. The SO₂ in the sample gas absorbs the ultraviolet light, causing an energy level transition. The SO₂ transitions from the ground state to the excited state. The excited SO₂ is unstable and instantly emits fluorescence with a central wavelength of 330nm. The intensity of the fluorescence is proportional to the SO₂ concentration. The photomultiplier tube converts the light signal into an electrical signal, thereby measuring the SO₂ concentration. To eliminate measurement errors caused by optical path fluctuations, the optical path uses two-way monitoring: one path measures the fluorescence intensity excited by the sample gas, and the other path serves as a reference to monitor changes in the zinc lamp light source, automatically compensating for light source variations.
