Using pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology with a dedicated C2 adsorbent, a crude C₂ product is obtained, which then undergoes pressurization, desulfurization, decarbonization, heavy metal removal, deoxygenation, and other steps to produce a high-concentration C2 product gas for downstream ethylene units. The unadsorbed hydrogen-rich gas can be used as feed gas for PSA hydrogen purification or as plant fuel gas.
Technical Features
Simple process, flexible operation, low investment;
Low energy consumption; depending on the design process, energy consumption is generally 30–60 kg standard oil per ton (feed);
C2 product gas: product yield can reach over 95%, and C2+ concentration can reach over 95% (single-stage or two-stage PSA technology can be adopted according to product purity and yield requirements).
Applicable Fields
Refinery dry gas, ethylbenzene unit tail gas, and other gases containing C2+.
