For longer X travel, the machines are designed with fixed table and moving gantry.Special larger versions have already been implemented in 40 m x 6 m x 1.250 mm.Feed speeds vary from 20 to 40 m/mn depending on the machine model and size.The axis drive consists of brushless or linear motors. Accurate guiding is ensured by preloaded rollers in which recirculating balls glide over grooved, heat treated and ground guideways. All moving parts are protected against dust and are lubricated automatically.A large range of high-frequency electro-spindles are available regarding different applications. A tool magazine is generally useful - Power 15 27 42 KW - Maximal speed 24 000 rpm (or 40 000 rpm for smaller power).A static frequency inverter enables an infinitely speed variation.The tool magazine is of easy access and accommodates 12 or 16 tools (or more) making it possible to combine several operations which are generally carried out at different workstations.The two movements of the five axes head are driven by brushless motors with heavy duty epicycloidal reducers without any backlash to obtain a very good finishing surface thanks to high torque available in full 5 axis movements and not only on indexed angles. These CRENO centres are particularly well suited for the high speed machining of composite materials, aluminium, sandwich panels, plastic materials, electrical insulating materials, etc. The numerical control, which is located in a closed and air-conditioned booth, is a NUM AXIUM POWER or a SIEMENS 840D which includes many options for easier machining in 5 axes (unisurf, inclined plane, RTCP, ...).
