Swiss circular textile technology company Climatex recently completed a new funding round of $4.1 million and appointed Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen as its incoming CEO to drive the global expansion of its engineered construction threads and circular textile solutions.

The funding will be used to support the development of Climatex's circular textile technology, including expanding its engineered construction threads and textile solutions, and promoting industrial circularity and material recycling readiness. The company recently filed two new patents related to its Stitchlock sewing system based on dissolvable threads and a circular knitting process using Knitlock. These technologies are designed to enable controlled disassembly and resource recovery at the end of a product's life cycle.
Michael Kleindl, Founding Partner of Collateral Good, stated: "We are excited to support Climatex in its next phase of growth. The company's patented circular textile technology is unique globally, strongly protected by a broad patent family, and ready to scale."
Incoming CEO Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen brings over 20 years of experience in sustainability, innovation, and business development within the fashion and textile industry. She will focus on promoting Climatex's circular textile technology to global markets such as workwear, fashion, and interior design, and establishing collaborations with industrial clients.
Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen said: "Climatex addresses a unique system-level opportunity in the textile sector. By rethinking textile construction at the product design stage, this technology enables high-quality, durable products while being designed for disassembly and recycling from the outset. I look forward to implementing these solutions globally with our industrial partners."
Former Co-CEOs Adrian Obrist and Patric Rupp will remain on the board as shareholders. Adrian Obrist noted: "Climatex was founded to fundamentally rethink textiles for the circular economy. This funding round validates our technology and vision. With Collateral Good as the lead investor and Camilla Skjønning Jørgensen joining the company, we are ideally positioned to translate technological leadership into global market impact."
Climatex focuses on developing engineered construction threads to enable circular textile systems. The company licenses its construction technology to global manufacturing partners and thread producers, integrating existing materials and infrastructure to incorporate Climatex-supported threads into supply chains. Its clients include companies such as VP Textile, Interstuhl, JAB, and Lantal.
