Wedoany.com Report on Mar 9th, Located in Qian'an, Hebei, China, the 66-year-old Shougang Mining Dashine Iron Mine has completed its transformation from iron ore mining to green building materials production through resource comprehensive utilization and intelligent upgrades. In early 2026, the 16 autonomous electric mining trucks deployed on the Peizhuang production line at the mine have achieved normalized operation, reducing transportation costs to 0.32 yuan/ton-kilometer, an 83% reduction compared to traditional fuel-powered vehicles.
The mine processes historical mining overburden into sand and aggregate that meets China's national first-class standards. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period, its two building materials production lines have cumulatively produced over 14.39 million tons of resource comprehensive utilization products exceeding the planned target, while also recovering 460,000 tons of ore fines. Currently, the daily processing capacity of the Peizhuang operation area exceeds 40,000 tons.
In terms of ecological restoration, the mine has cumulatively leveled 1,900 mu of land, reclaimed and greened 2,400 mu, planted 4 million seedlings, used soil screened from the production line for pit reclamation and farming, and trialed planting of Juncao grass for developing feed and mushroom cultivation.
