Wedoany.com Report, March 9, 2026 - Embedded software tools provider SEGGER and testing solutions company Razorcat announced a partnership to jointly advance automated embedded software testing. This collaboration aims to deepen the integration of both companies' products, enhance user experience, and provide more efficient technical support for safety-critical projects.
Razorcat's TESSY is a widely used embedded software unit and integration testing tool that automates the test creation and execution cycle, supporting a variety of microcontrollers, compilers, and debuggers. SEGGER's Embedded Studio, as a comprehensive integrated development environment, works closely with TESSY. It generates optimized firmware using the SEGGER toolchain, integrates the J-Link debug probe for device testing, and is equipped with a core simulator to enable rapid testing without hardware.
Regarding integration, TESSY allows users to generate test cases based on Embedded Studio projects, execute tests using J-Run or emSim, and collect results. TESSY can also automatically launch debugging sessions within Embedded Studio, making it easier for users to analyze the causes of test failures and thereby optimize the development process.
Michael Wittner, CEO of Razorcat, said, "TESSY and Embedded Studio, along with J-Link, already have a long and successful history of collaboration. We consistently receive positive feedback from users regarding the integration and ease of use of our products. This partnership adds significant value for our users, and we look forward to future opportunities."
Johannes Lask, Product Manager at SEGGER, added, "The partnership with Razorcat will enhance our ability to support mutual users, making testing more convenient and expanding product integration in terms of flexibility and performance. We plan to further integrate tools like the test runner J-Run in the future."
SEGGER Microcontroller GmbH, founded in 1992, has over thirty years of experience in the embedded systems field, providing RTOS, software libraries, debug probes, and development tools. Its emPower OS solution includes a complete software library covering areas such as communication and security, supporting the entire embedded development process.
