Wedoany.com Report on Mar 13th, According to the China Satellite Navigation System Management Office, to continuously improve system service performance and meet the growing demand for diverse applications, the BeiDou Satellite Navigation System will soon implement an in-orbit upgrade. This upgrade aims to optimize and adjust the operational status of some in-orbit satellites to further enhance the system's stability and service level.
Currently, the number of BeiDou satellites operating in orbit has reached 50, continuously providing global users with high-precision positioning, navigation, and timing services. As a crucial national space infrastructure, the BeiDou system has played a key role in recent years in fields such as transportation, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, disaster prevention and mitigation, and smart cities. Its high-precision applications have deeply integrated into the national economy and people's daily lives.
It is reported that during the upgrade, relevant departments will strengthen the joint debugging and testing of the system's in-orbit satellites and continuously monitor and maintain service performance to ensure stable system operation and continuous, reliable service. The China Satellite Navigation System Management Office stated that this optimization and adjustment are part of the BeiDou system's routine operation and maintenance, aiming to further enhance the system's overall performance and user experience through technical upgrades.
Since the BeiDou-3 system was fully completed in 2020 and began providing global services, the BeiDou system has maintained stable operation with continuously improving service capabilities. Moving forward, China will continue to promote the high-quality development of the BeiDou system, deepen international cooperation, and provide global users with more superior and reliable navigation and positioning services.
