en.Wedoany.com Reported - The State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) has approved and issued the mandatory national standard "General Technical Specifications for BeiDou Satellite Navigation System Positioning Modules in Transportation," which will take effect on February 1, 2027. The release and implementation of this standard will effectively unify the product technical specifications of BeiDou positioning modules in the transportation industry, strongly support the industry's digital transformation and intelligent upgrading, and promote the large-scale application of the BeiDou system in the transportation sector.

The standard systematically specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, and test methods for BeiDou satellite navigation system positioning modules in transportation.

In terms of technical requirements, the standard clarifies that modules shall possess independent BeiDou positioning capability, enabling positioning without reliance on other satellite navigation systems. Additionally, modules are required to integrate functions such as velocity measurement, autonomous integrity monitoring, narrowband interference rejection, firmware upgrades, parameter configuration, and assisted positioning. For key performance indicators including positioning accuracy, velocity measurement accuracy, time to first fix and re-acquisition time, reception sensitivity, data update rate, number of tracked satellites, and narrowband interference rejection capability, the standard specifies concrete quantitative metrics to ensure that product functionality and performance meet the actual needs of industry applications.

In terms of inspection rules, the standard stipulates the applicable scenarios, inspection items, and acceptance criteria for type inspection and routine inspection of products, establishing a multi-dimensional quality control system covering individual products to batch products of the same model, providing clear and operable technical basis for module quality control and market access.
