Wedoany.com Report on Mar 17th, German company Vossloh has announced that the new HSG-2 high-speed railway maintenance equipment will be built in Hamburg and is scheduled for delivery to China in the summer of 2027, to support the expansion of China's high-speed rail network. This order continues a partnership of over a decade between the two parties. Vossloh's grinding technology is already used in China for preventive railway maintenance, with 12 out of 18 regional railway administrations in China utilizing the system to handle busy lines. For example, the HSG fleet maintained approximately 42,000 kilometers of track in 2025, including the Beijing-Shanghai line.

Vossloh CEO Oliver Schuster stated: "China has demonstrated the effectiveness of preventive maintenance in high-speed railways. The agreed delivery to expand capacity confirms the high level of trust in our technology." China's high-speed rail network currently spans approximately 50,000 kilometers, with the government aiming to exceed 70,000 kilometers by 2035. The maintenance strategy focuses on safety, reliability, and network availability.
Another HSG-2 unit is also planned for delivery in 2027. Through this, Vossloh aims to strengthen its position in the international market, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and reliability. The high-speed rail industry is shifting towards continuous, data-driven, non-disruptive track maintenance to support long-term performance. This trend provides a reference for global railway development.
