The transaction was completed on March 13, 2026, effective retroactively to January 1, 2026, further solidifying Buckanier Energy's operational footprint in the region.

The Carlisle-1 well is situated near Buckanier Energy's existing Fouke 1 and Fouke 2 wells, sharing the same producing reservoir within the Pine Mills field. Through this acquisition, Buckanier Energy's working interest in the proposed Fouke waterflood unit increases from approximately 33% to over 50%, enhancing its influence and revenue potential in the field's development. This increased stake grants the company greater leadership in future development decisions.

According to an independent reserves report prepared in accordance with SPE PRMS standards, the Carlisle-1 well holds approximately 51,000 barrels of Proved Developed Producing reserves. The asset is also expected to benefit from planned waterflood operations and Buckanier Energy's organic oil recovery program, measures designed to improve recovery rates and optimize hydrocarbon production. The company plans to use waterflooding to maintain reservoir pressure, extend the field's productive life, and maximize resource recovery efficiency.

This acquisition is part of Buckanier Energy's strategic positioning in the East Texas Basin, aiming to achieve economies of scale and reduce unit operating costs by integrating adjacent assets. The company stated it will continue to evaluate other consolidation opportunities in the region to further optimize its asset portfolio.
