Wedoany.com Report on Mar 18th, Paradise Textiles is investing $102 million to build an integrated fabric plant in Egypt, focusing on producing high-performance polyester and synthetic fabrics primarily for the sportswear markets in the United States and Europe.

The company has secured $72 million in financing from the Commercial International Bank (CIB) in Egypt, with funds to be disbursed in three phases based on project progress. The first tranche of $35.5 million has already been received. The plant's construction and operation will utilize environmentally friendly technologies and energy- and water-saving equipment to reduce environmental impact, and an integrated environmental management system will be established for continuous monitoring.
The plant is expected to create approximately 1,200 jobs within the next two years, boosting local economic development and strengthening Egypt's position as a textile manufacturing hub. The growing global demand for facilities meeting sustainability standards, along with regulatory changes, is prompting apparel brands to adjust their sourcing strategies. Egypt's duty-free access to the U.S. market through the Qualified Industrial Zone (QIZ) agreement and its proximity to the European market make it a strategic choice for manufacturers.
The new plant will install a Regen microfiber filtration system, the first of its kind specifically developed for textile production, aimed at reducing fiber fragmentation during the manufacturing process. Located adjacent to Alpine Group's manufacturing hub in Egypt, Alex Apparels, the plant will facilitate close collaboration between fabric development and apparel production, thereby accelerating time-to-market and enhancing supply chain transparency.
Ashok Mahtani, Co-founder and Chairman of both Alpine Group and Paradise Textiles, stated, "This project embodies our long-term vision of bringing fabric innovation closer to the sewing process, strengthening vertical integration, and building a future-ready manufacturing ecosystem. As global brands face increasing sustainability expectations and evolving regulations, the construction of this plant highlights our commitment to responsible growth, transparency, and operational excellence. We are listening carefully to our partners and investing accordingly."
The plant is scheduled to commence operations in the third quarter of 2026, further solidifying Egypt's key role in the global textile industry.
