The seeder cart introduces advanced precision metering technology, utilizing corrosion-resistant stainless steel AccuRate meters. Each meter can be independently controlled, adjusting speed and flow rate based on high-resolution prescriptions. The meters are equipped with anti-static composite seed tubes, reducing maintenance needs and minimizing crop residue. Combined with Curve Compensation and SectionCommand Pro technologies, precision is increased eightfold. The EZCal one-touch calibration system allows operators to complete calibration directly from the cab without climbing under the machine, streamlining the process. Stichinsky added, "During the tight planting window, productivity is critical. Being able to calibrate equipment from the cab all day helps operators monitor changing field conditions and eliminates concerns about under- or over-metering. The ActiveCal system provides operators with the ability to calculate remaining product volume and acres remaining per tank."
Regarding seed handling, the EZLift system can reach bulk seed bags on the ground, a trailer, or a storage platform and dump them into the tank. The bulk storage platform provides additional storage space. A 12-inch hydraulic conveyor belt allows for the transfer of untreated seed while increasing clearance near the tires. The front platform has been redesigned with step-over stairs for easier access to the cross hitch. Larger flexible tanks increase storage capacity to 105 bushels.
In terms of logistics management, when paired with a G5 or G5 Plus CommandCenter display and a G5 Advanced license, the pneumatic seeder cart can connect to the John Deere Operations Center. The center estimates the area remaining before tanks are emptied, helping to optimize work scheduling and improve overall productivity.
