This marks the first commercial application of the FFT GrowSystem, following over a year of successful pilot testing at River Ranch Farms where the company grew and fed its ForeverFeed™ sprouted grains to lactating dairy cows.
The FFT Innovation Center, launched in late 2024, optimized automation, growing protocols, and feed formulations to enhance feed efficiency and milk production. This project is seen as a significant advancement for the livestock industry, enabling farmers to produce fresh, high-volume feed daily for large commercial herds and other livestock. ForeverFeed™ is a hydroponic sprouted grain, including wheat, barley, sorghum, and triticale, mixed into the animals' total mixed ration. It provides highly nutritious, highly digestible feed year-round, helping producers combat harsh weather, drought, and supply chain challenges while promoting sustainable and economically secure growth.
Key FFT GrowSystem™ performance data shows: It can produce up to 50 tons of fresh feed per day (per system), replacing 350 to 500 acres of traditional farmland in California (per system), uses 95% less water than field-grown alfalfa, and can be scaled to feed over 7,500 lactating dairy cows (when three systems are installed in a large FeedCenter).
