en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 26th, The Nigerian Federal Government recently reviewed the implementation plan for the Agricultural Climate Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) project, aiming to enhance execution efficiency and strengthen collaboration among key ministries. This review took place during a Strategic Steering Committee meeting, attended by the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Joseph Terlumun Utsev; the Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal; and the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.

During the meeting, the committee conducted a comprehensive assessment of the ACReSAL project's work plan to ensure its alignment with implementation objectives and the achievement of expected outcomes. Subsequently, the plan was considered for approval to guide the project's next phase of advancement.

Participants emphasized the necessity of strengthening inter-ministerial coordination, noting that effective collaboration is crucial for achieving the goals of the ACReSAL initiative. They also reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to promoting sustainable environmental practices and agricultural development to enhance national food security and create employment opportunities. By optimizing the ACReSAL project plan, the Nigerian Government aims to drive more efficient implementation of climate-resilient agricultural projects.
