en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 28th, Based on sales of 2.13 million tonnes recorded in the first 24 days of the month (including the three-day Eid-ul-Fitr holiday period with no sales activity), local cement dispatches in Pakistan for March 2026 are projected to decline by 4% year-on-year to 2.98 million tonnes. On a month-on-month basis, local dispatches are expected to drop by 14%, primarily due to the seasonal slowdown during the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. This cement market data reflects the direct impact of holidays on construction activities and material demand.

Meanwhile, exports for March 2026 are projected to grow by 10% year-on-year, supported by increased sea dispatches from southern producers, while northern exports remain affected by border disruptions. Total cement market sales for March 2026 are estimated to reach approximately 3.65 million tonnes, down 2% year-on-year and 13% month-on-month. However, the total cement market sales for the first nine months of FY2026 are expected to reach 38.4 million tonnes, a 10% year-on-year increase, primarily driven by domestic demand, demonstrating the resilience of the cement market around holiday periods.

The cement market capacity utilization rate is projected to be 52% for March 2026, compared to 60% in February 2026 and 53% in March 2025. This data reflects adjustments in production and dispatch schedules during the holiday period. Although monthly sales have declined due to seasonal factors, cumulative sales for the fiscal year continue to show growth, indicating a relatively solid underlying demand base for Pakistan's cement market as a whole.
