en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 28th, Amcor has launched an updated version of its UniPak 1kg dairy container in the Swiss and French markets. This sustainable packaging aims to reduce material usage while maintaining performance, durability, and production line compatibility. The new packaging features a lightweight design, with a total standard material weight of 31.6 grams, improving material efficiency without compromising strength or convenience. Compared to the company's previous containers of the same size, the weight reduction measures are projected to lower carbon emissions by up to 9% based on anticipated production volumes.

This lightweight round container is made entirely from polypropylene, making it recycling-ready and suitable for recycling in countries with appropriate infrastructure. The UniPak maintains durability, providing product protection throughout the supply chain, and its compact size is convenient for household use. The compression-molded lid offers good top-load strength, remaining secure even under pressure, while the improved tamper-evident design enhances product safety and consumer assurance.

To support brand differentiation, the UniPak is compatible with various decoration options, such as in-mold labeling, and is available in multiple shapes and sizes including square, rectangular, round, and oval. Shared lid diameters across different formats help businesses simplify inventory and supply chain management. Each package is optimized for pallet utilization, improving logistics efficiency, and the protective ring enhances lid protection and container stability.

Amcor's sustainable packaging solutions reflect the industry's emphasis on environmental protection. Last year, CCL Label also launched dairy packaging labels, sleeves, bags, and lids specifically designed for existing recycling streams to comply with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and EPR requirements. In the food and beverage sector, Amcor collaborated with French snack producer Alter Eco to develop paper-based and lightweight packaging for a 200g chocolate range, which is recyclable where appropriate recycling streams exist. Amcor also partnered with Swiss chocolate co-packer Halba to transition packaging to AmFiber performance paper, which combines a natural kraft paper look with a matte finish.
