en.Wedoany.com Reported - Lotte Engineering & Construction announced on April 29 that the "Vertical-Horizontal Integrated 4-Way Sway Brace Pipe Support Technology," jointly developed with Doosan Engineering & Construction, HL D&I Halla, and MECS Co., Ltd., has received Construction New Technology Certification (No. 1043) from South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

This pipe support technology is designed to prevent damage to firefighting pipes caused by seismic waves and earthquake loads generated at the epicenter during an earthquake. Previously, pipe seismic technologies introduced in South Korea had relied on products imported from countries such as the United States and China. MECS Co., Ltd. was responsible for development, design, and prototype production, while Lotte Engineering & Construction and the other two construction companies conducted supplementary research, ultimately completing the development and domestic production of this pipe support technology.
Currently, the pipe support technology has been applied to sites such as Lotte Castle at the southern end and Seomyeon Lotte Castle El Luche, and will be applied to ongoing projects including Lotte Castle Signature Central.
A representative from Lotte Engineering & Construction stated, "The development of this new technology is significant as it means the domestic production of firefighting pipe seismic technology, which previously depended on overseas technologies," adding, "We will continue to strive to develop excellent technologies and expand field applications."
