en.Wedoany.com Reported - Extreme Networks officially launched its second-generation AI agent platform, Agent One, a comprehensive Wi-Fi 7 access point portfolio covering all scenarios, and the AI skills marketplace Extreme Exchange at the Extreme Connect 2026 annual user conference held in Orlando, Florida, on May 5, 2026, local time. This marks the first time the company has showcased its full-stack AI networking vision with a complete product matrix, following five consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth.

Agent One is built on a four-layer architecture: the front-end calls cutting-edge reasoning models, the AI core is powered by an enterprise network knowledge graph constructed by human experts, the skills layer encodes operational best practices, and the agent layer is uniformly governed by a built-in governance framework. CTO and President of AI Platforms, Nabil Bukhari, pointed out that general-purpose models like Claude or ChatGPT, which lack specific enterprise network knowledge, cannot provide reliable answers, and reasoning alone is far from sufficient. Agent One is delivered in two modes. The Coworker mode will be available in Q3 2026, subverting the traditional "human asks, AI answers" interaction logic—the AI proactively sends "Nudge" alerts to IT teams, for example, detecting Wi-Fi congestion in a school or periodic slowdowns in retail POS systems, and proactively suggesting or even automatically applying fixes. Bukhari stated at the launch: "I wanted to build a system that doesn't wait for you to ask questions, but one where the AI proactively alerts you." The Operator mode will launch in Q4, operating autonomously in an always-on manner, executing tasks on preset schedules, continuously learning network states, and auditing every operation through the built-in governance framework. Both modes are free for existing Platform One users.

The Wi-Fi 7 product line has been fully refreshed simultaneously, covering deployment needs across all scenarios from high-density indoor to extreme outdoor environments. The flagship AP5060 series outdoor access points and AP5022 series indoor access points are equipped with three 4×4 radio modules, a dedicated tri-band security sensor, and an IoT radio module, both supporting flexible tri-band operation under standard PoE+ power. The AP5060 is designed for harsh environments with high temperatures and high wind speeds, and has been validated through deployments at Baylor University, Henry Ford Health, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, and multiple NFL teams. For cost-sensitive and space-constrained scenarios, the AP3020 series indoor access points and AP3060 series outdoor access points feature a 2×2 radio design, with the AP3060 boasting IP67 protection rating and wide-temperature operation capability, and the AP3020W offering a low-profile wall-mount design balancing aesthetics and functionality. The company cited Siân Morgan, Research Director at Dell’Oro Group, who commented: "These Wi-Fi 7 solutions will help customers meet the demands of modern AI-driven environments in terms of performance, energy efficiency, and large-scale deployment."

The Platform One platform also saw multiple expansions simultaneously. A newly introduced third-party management feature allows IT teams to manage Cisco and HPE-Juniper devices on the same platform. The AI skills marketplace, Extreme Exchange, offers specialized skills covering verticals such as healthcare, education, retail, and manufacturing, supporting three models: developed by Extreme itself, by partners, or created by customers. Along with this launch, the company also released a simplified enterprise licensing model. Headquartered in Morrisville, North Carolina, and traded on Nasdaq under the ticker EXTR, Extreme Networks is a full-stack networking solutions provider deeply engaged in wired, wireless, SD-WAN, and AI-driven network automation and security.
