en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK-based Deva Electronic Controls Ltd. has recently announced a deep integration solution with PolyWorks|Inspector 2026 software, enabling users to directly perform CNC numerical control operations on touch-trigger probes within the PolyWorks metrology environment.

Deva CMM Controller Integration with PolyWorks

This integration stems from the two companies' prior collaboration on manual coordinate measuring machine (CMM) applications and has now been further extended to automated inspection scenarios involving touch-trigger probes. By combining Deva's CMM controller technology with InnovMetric's PolyWorks|Inspector metrology platform, operators can more conveniently create and execute various measurement sequences.

The new solution brings several functional enhancements: CNC touch-trigger probe control can be completed directly within the PolyWorks|Inspector interface, ensuring consistency in measurement actions; support for measurement sequence creation and management has been added, and system configuration has been simplified, reducing the reliance on operator intervention; thanks to low-latency communication mechanisms, real-time control response is more sensitive.

For Deva users, this integration enables a code-free CMM programming approach, allowing rapid generation of measurement sequences even without specialized programming backgrounds. Simultaneously, PolyWorks|Inspector embeds algorithm calculations certified by Germany's Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), as well as CMM protection measures such as collision avoidance. PolyWorks users, in turn, gain touch-trigger probe control capabilities via the Deva CNC controller, along with more efficient automated inspection workflows.

Currently, this solution is applicable to CMM systems utilizing Deva CMM controllers. Future update plans will also include extended functionalities such as tactile probing and laser scanning.
