en.Wedoany.com Reported - Indian telecom operator Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced that Chief Enterprise Business Officer Arvind Nevatia has resigned after 11 years with the company to pursue opportunities outside the organization. In a regulatory filing, the company stated that the board confirmed his resignation during a meeting, and Nevatia will officially step down on or before July 28, 2026.
During his tenure, Nevatia drove Vi's enterprise business to establish a leading position in areas such as IoT, connected car ecosystems, and smart prepaid meter deployments, while also facilitating the digital transformation of MSMEs through cloud services, security services, and managed services. He also spearheaded the launch of an in-house big data AI/ML analytics platform and a cloud contact center as a service (CCaaS), enabling predictive operations and intelligent customer interactions, while building an AI-powered network operations center for Vi.
"Over the past year, we have embedded AI into multiple layers of our operations, and significant improvements in efficiency and customer experience are already visible," Nevatia said in an interview in September 2025, noting that Vi was one of the first telecom companies to launch its own advanced analytics platform leveraging big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Nevatia will be succeeded by Sunil Kumar, who previously served as Chief Growth Officer at Hyderabad-based cloud communications company Tanla Platforms. Sunil Kumar brings 29 years of industry experience, including 15 years previously spent at Vi. He has also served as CEO of Constl, a company under the Space World Group, and has previously worked at Tata Communications, Bharti Infotel, GTL Limited, and Sprint RPG India.
