Emerson Releases PACEdge 3.0, Bringing AI to Industrial Edge Devices

Modern manufacturers are increasingly leveraging data generated by IIoT devices to power AI vision applications, inference, and analytics tools that support operational decision-making. However, this data is often siloed across different IIoT technologies, making it difficult to transform into actionable insights. PACEdge 3.0 builds on the platform's ability to aggregate data from multiple technologies, deploying that data into containerized applications such as AI-based analytics, vision systems, and visualization. This release adds a new Group Manager for more intuitive device management. This feature enables teams to remotely manage groups of devices across a plant or enterprise, deploying new capabilities such as dashboard updates, security updates, and operating system updates through a graphical interface. The improved application marketplace integration allows users to run edge containerized workloads in a secure environment, where users can browse or search for applications in the PACEdge marketplace within a single repository, enabling low-touch deployment.
