en.Wedoany.com Reported - An independent study commissioned by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and conducted by the Juday Group indicates that U.S. red meat (beef and pork) exports generated significant economic benefits for domestic corn and soybean growers in 2025.
Nationwide, beef and pork exports contributed $2.18 billion in market value to U.S. corn growers, $375 million to producers of dried distillers grains with solubles (DDGS), and $1 billion to soybean growers in 2025.
Research data shows that the total economic impact of U.S. beef and pork exports on corn prices was 13.5% per bushel, and the impact on soybean prices was 10.3% per bushel in 2025.
"Red meat exports create tremendous value for corn and soybean growers by driving feed demand," said Dave Bruntz, USMEF Chair-elect, who grows corn and soybeans and raises livestock in south-central Nebraska.
He added: "This study shows that red meat exports in 2025 were equivalent to consuming over 500 million bushels (12.7 million metric tons) of corn and nearly 100 million bushels (2.72 million metric tons) of soybeans."
Corn and soybean growers support the overseas promotion of U.S. pork, beef, and lamb by directing a portion of their checkoff program funds to market development initiatives led by USMEF.
USMEF Senior Vice President John Hinners noted: "We conduct this study annually because it quantifies the economic value that beef and pork exports bring to the red meat supply chain."
