en.Wedoany.com Reported - NetBrain, a provider of network operations solutions, has released a series of platform updates, introducing AI agents to support network diagnosis and repair in real-world production environments.

This update brings agentic NetOps to production environments, helping customers diagnose and resolve complex network issues. New features include AI Path Doctor, which verifies network paths and flags errors, then automatically generates a runbook for remediation. Another feature is Agent Skills, designed to inject institutional knowledge and best practices into NetBrain's agent tools, which can be customized for specific customer environments. Additionally, NetBrain has added support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to bridge the gap between network data and large language models (LLMs), enabling AI assistants to access network intelligence without complex custom integrations.

Prior to the full release, some customers had already trialed the agent products. An unnamed global telecommunications company used the agent to resolve a persistent firewall issue. Another early customer, an unnamed health insurance company, used one of the agents to seemingly fix a week-old virtual private network (VPN) connection issue in "less than five minutes." This batch of updates complements features introduced earlier this year, including Deep Diagnosis and Runbook Companion, which further automate fault isolation and guide remediation.

NetBrain CEO Bernadette Nixon stated that its agents act not only as AI assistants but also as operators, diagnosing, deciding, and acting based on the platform's validated network foundation, delivering innovative, purpose-built agents and a platform that provides trusted network context, enabling customers to pursue automation with confidence. Nixon took the helm at NetBrain in January, succeeding Lingping Gao, who transitioned from CEO to Chairman of the Board. The company recently secured support from Blackstone, with the investment giant committing to help expand NetBrain's business footprint.
