en.Wedoany.com Reported - Oriole Resources has completed the acquisition of a 10% interest in Oriole Mbe from its local partners BEIG3 and Roxane Minerals, with a payment of $100,000 in cash. This acquisition is part of the restructuring plan announced by the company in 2024.

The Cameroonian Ministry of Mines confirmed last month the transfer of the Mbe exploration license from Oriole Cameroon to Oriole Mbe. Under the transaction arrangement, the local partners are also entitled to receive 5% of any amount paid as additional resource payments under the earn-in agreement with BCM International, capped at $150,000, in addition to a total of 1% net smelter return royalty from future mining revenues of the Mbe project.

Following the completion of this transaction, Oriole's interest in the Mbe orogenic gold project has been formally established at 50%, equal to the 50% interest confirmed by BCM earlier this year. Oriole stated that the formalization of the joint venture agreements with BCM for Mbe and the more advanced Bibemi project is nearing completion.

Oriole CEO Martin Rosser said that the additional acquisition of a 10% interest in Oriole Mbe from local partners increases the company's ownership in the flagship project license to 50%, and this formalization is a welcome step. He also mentioned being warmly received by key partner BEIG3 in Cameroon's capital, Yaoundé, to complete this acquisition, and looks forward to continuing close cooperation with local partners, benefiting from their technical knowledge and Cameroonian experience as the Mbe project advances.
