AzerGold Advances Joint Mineral Development Cooperation in Kyrgyzstan

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 14, Azerbaijan's state-owned mining company AzerGold and Kyrgyzstan's state-owned gold enterprise Kyrgyzaltyn held project cooperation talks in Bishkek, discussing joint exploration and development of gold and other mineral resources, the establishment of joint ventures, project financing, and resource assessment. The talks were a follow-up milestone in the implementation of the mining cooperation memorandum signed by both parties on July 31 in Cholpon-Ata.

The two parties focused on the implementation model for establishing joint ventures targeting potential deposits, including investment structure, financing channels for new projects, and the assessment of geological exploration results and mineral resources in accordance with international standards. AzerGold stated that the company is expanding its mining footprint in Central Asia, with cooperation directions covering the exploration and development of gold and other deposits, and that it also plans to introduce non-invasive geological survey technologies such as airborne electromagnetic surveys into potential cooperation projects.

Kyrgyzaltyn presented its existing mining project portfolio, subsidiary operating system, and plans for developing new projects going forward, and proposed that the two parties could select cooperation targets from projects with current development potential. After the talks, both parties decided to continue technical and commercial consultations on mineral projects of mutual interest and to advance the previously signed cooperation memorandum into the implementation stage through specific projects.

During the same period, the AzerGold delegation visited Kyrgyzstan's Altynken gold mine and Kyrgyzaltyn's gold refinery in Kara-Balta, conducting on-site investigations of ore mining, transportation, ore dressing, processing, and smelting processes. The Altynken gold mine has been operated since 2016 by a joint venture established by Kyrgyzaltyn and Zijin Mining, and the project's production organization and ore processing system also became part of the on-site inspection content of this mining cooperation exchange.
