Koscielny Lake Gold Project in Canada Returns Samples Grading Up to 190.38 g/t Gold

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 14, Boreal Gold announced the latest surface sampling results from the Koscielny Lake area of the Fay Lake Project in Manitoba, Canada. The company collected 11 quartz samples from Trench 7 along the Lakeshore Vein, of which 10 returned gold grades exceeding 1 g/t. The highest-grade sample, 129102, returned 190.38 g/t gold, while two other samples returned 10.96 g/t and 7.37 g/t gold, respectively.

Trench 7 is oriented along the Lakeshore Vein and is approximately 25 meters long, located about 80 meters southwest of the previously identified Island Vein; the two veins are near-parallel structures. The Lakeshore and Island veins are approximately 1–2 meters wide and are both hosted in near-parallel, east-southeast-trending shear zones, primarily at the contact between quartz-phyric tonalite dykes and sheared gabbro or magnetite–chert iron formation, accompanied by cubic pyrite.

The sampling results from the Lakeshore Vein in this round are overall higher than some of the previous sampling results from the Island Vein. In 2025, Boreal collected 9 samples from Trench 6 on the Island Vein, of which 6 returned gold grades exceeding 1 g/t, with the highest grades reaching 9.7 g/t and 5.7 g/t, respectively. Historical work at Koscielny Lake also recorded mineralization grading up to 11.81 g/t gold over a width of approximately 1 meter.

Boreal has completed 3 diamond drill holes targeting the Island Vein as part of an approximately 1,000-meter drilling program, and the drill core is currently being processed and analyzed at SRC Laboratories in Saskatchewan, Canada. The company also plans to conduct drill testing of Trench 7 on the Lakeshore Vein from an ice-based drill pad on Koscielny Lake in the winter of 2027, once ice conditions permit.

In addition to Koscielny Lake, Boreal also announced sampling results from the Redwin Shaft area of the Fay Lake Project. In this area, sample 129117 returned 19.19 g/t gold, and sample 129114 returned 8.06 g/t gold, accompanied by relatively high copper content and a slight zinc anomaly. Between 2021 and 2024, historical surface sampling in this area returned grades of up to 146.9 g/t gold.

Boreal had previously completed 3 diamond drill holes in the Redwin volcanogenic massive sulfide mineralization zone and high-grade gold-bearing quartz veins; these drill holes are also part of the current approximately 1,000-meter drilling program. The next phase of work at Koscielny Lake will continue to focus on drill testing along the Lakeshore and Island veins.
