Canadian Blast Resources Identifies 10-Kilometer Structural Corridor at Wales Lake Uranium Project
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 17, Canadian company Blast Resources released the latest geological interpretation results for its Wales Lake uranium project in Saskatchewan, identifying a distinct structural fault zone within the Wales Lake, Brazier South, and Britts Lake claim groups. The structure trends generally northwest-southeast, with approximately 10 kilometers of its extent passing through the claims associated with the Wales Lake project. The company has designated it as a priority for the next phase of geological and geophysical exploration.
The structural fault zone is located east of the Clearwater Domain, and the project area also lies within the geological setting of the Patterson Lake Corridor. Blast Resources believes the structure may have served as a conduit for hydrothermal fluid migration, creating fluid mixing environments in locally open spaces and low-pressure zones, and potentially providing conditions for uranium mineralization precipitation. At this stage, this assessment remains a geological interpretation and has not yet been verified by drilling results.
The company compared the interpretation results with existing geophysical data. The structural zone coincides with low magnetic anomalies identified by a magnetic survey completed in 2024, and is roughly parallel to conductive bodies defined by historical VTEM airborne electromagnetic surveys. Blast Resources noted that in the Athabasca Basin regional uranium exploration model, the coincidence of electromagnetic conductors with low magnetic anomalies typically corresponds to graphitic faults, and such structures may provide conduits for mineral-bearing fluid migration.
The Wales Lake project is located outside the southwestern margin of the Athabasca Basin, adjacent to the Patterson Lake Corridor. Within this corridor, Paladin's Triple R uranium deposit and NexGen's Arrow uranium deposit have been discovered. Blast Resources currently regards Wales Lake as its flagship exploration project and plans to continue follow-up geological and geophysical work around the newly identified structural zone.
This announcement did not disclose any new drill holes, drilling meterage, uranium grades, resource estimates, or economic evaluation results. The project remains at an early-stage exploration and target identification phase. The relevant technical information has been reviewed by a qualified person in accordance with Canadian NI 43-101 standards.
