Canada's Macpass Project Intersects 64 Meters of Zinc-Lead-Silver Mineralization

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 15, Fireweed Metals announced the latest drilling results from the Tom South deposit at its Macpass Project in Yukon, Canada. Drill hole TS26-003, stepping out approximately 180 meters down-dip and along strike to the east from the previously high-grade hole TS25-001D1, intersected 64 meters estimated true thickness of mineralization grading 8.35% zinc equivalent, corresponding to 5.42% zinc, 3.21% lead, and 16.77 g/t silver.

The main mineralized interval has a downhole intersection length of 111.63 meters, located at depths from 982.34 meters to 1,093.97 meters. This includes a high-grade subinterval of 43 meters true thickness grading 10.53% zinc equivalent, with 6.63% zinc, 4.28% lead, and 22.39 g/t silver; within this subinterval is a further zone of 27 meters true thickness grading 12.85% zinc equivalent, with 7.78% zinc, 5.52% lead, and 30.27 g/t silver.

The 64-meter true thickness obtained in TS26-003 is the thickest mineralized intersection drilled to date at Tom South. Mineralization consists primarily of sphalerite, galena, and barite, including stratiform and massive sulfides. The mineralized zone remains open to the east, and elevated germanium and gallium contents were also detected in the drill hole, though germanium and gallium were not included in the zinc equivalent calculation.

These results continue the deep extension at Tom South over the past two years. In 2025, hole TS25-001D1 intersected 30 meters true thickness grading 33.23% zinc equivalent approximately 115 meters beyond the previous mineralization boundary, corresponding to 18.20% zinc, 13.93% lead, and 161 g/t silver; in August 2026, hole TS26-001 intersected 30 meters true thickness grading 8.09% zinc equivalent. TS26-003 further advanced approximately 180 meters to the east and at depth, further expanding the known extent of the high-grade mineralized zone at Tom South.

Fireweed currently has 3 drill rigs deployed at the Macpass Project. A total of 6,505 meters of drilling has been completed in 2026 to date, of which 4,710 meters were completed at Tom South, focusing on testing the down-dip and along-strike extension of massive sulfide mineralization; 1,795 meters were completed at Tom East, primarily targeting high-grade massive and stratiform sulfides, in conjunction with subsequent muon tomography work.

In the same period, Fireweed has completed its 2026 drilling at the Mactung tungsten project, totaling 2,099 meters, and the data will be used for the feasibility study currently underway. Fireweed will continue to release remaining drill results from Tom South, Tom East, and Mactung at the Macpass Project.
